Meet our Top 25

This will be an exciting event where we’ll hear some of our region’s most innovative social enterprises.

This year’s i2 journey began with over 100 applicants. On May 9th, our Top 25 will Quick Pitch before a live audience comprised of funders and experienced judges where we will select 5 finalists for the last qualifying round leading up to the winner being selected this Summer.

A Foundation of Innovation

About a decade ago, the Alliance Healthcare Foundation recognized it must innovate to meet our mission because of the large and unsustainable rates of dollars flowing to healthcare and becoming an ever-larger portion of the country’s GDP.

Our commitment to progress calls us to be bold, and today half of our budget is deployed towards seeking, seeding and scaling innovation.

In our view, innovations must achieve the trifecta of reducing costs, improving quality and increasing access to health and wellness.

We have an established track record of sourcing, funding and developing scalable social enterprise innovations through our i2 Innovation Initiative.

Our Goal

At Alliance Healthcare Foundation, we believe that wellness is not simply the absence of disease or infirmity. Rather it is complete physical, mental, spiritual and economic well-being.

Our goal is to advance health and wellness for the most vulnerable in San Diego and Imperial counties that can also be advanced beyond our region.

If you, as an individual or an organization, are inspired and share our goals, you are invited to join us in leading the way to advance health and wellness through innovation.

We have recently opened an Alliance Innovation Fund at the San Diego Foundation to enable other foundations and philanthropists tojoin us. We will be sharing more about this new opportunity at the event.
